Sun Dancer II brings another dimension to luxury liveaboards, with a wet bar on the Lido Deck, a large sun deck and a beautiful and comfortable salon.

Peter Hughes Sun Dancer 2: Accommodations

Staterooms on the Sun Dancer 2 are naturally smaller than a hotel room, but spacious for a liveaboard. All are nicely appointed, and many feature picture windows. All staterooms have ensuite bathrooms, toiletries, hairdryers, flat screen TVs and DVD players, and individual air conditioning controls. Sheets are changed mid-week and towels are freshened daily.

Morning beverage service is served to your stateroom, and nightly turndown service is provided in your stateroom with a mint on your pillow.

Peter Hughes Sun Dancer 2: Other Activities

Seriously? If you’re looking for other (non-dive) activites, then a Liveaboard is probably not for you.

Peter Hughes Sun Dancer 2: Diving

Just off Belize’s coast is the second largest barrier reef in the world. The reef offers pristine diving and the atolls beyond the reef are truly paradise. The marine life that inhabits the barrier reef is extraordinary and diverse…everything from schools of tarpon, turtles and stingrays to a wide variety of tropical species, and of course, the famed Blue Hole. The walls and drop-offs are spectacular. Turneffe Islands and Lighthouse Reef boast much of the best diving in Belize.

On the Sun Dancer 2, dives are prioritized for quality vs. quantity. Dive deck services include hanging up your wetsuit and rinsing your dive gear, handling your valuable camera equipment with care, and warm towels will be draped around your shoulders after your dive. In addition, hot chocolate (with or without alcohol) is passed around after each night dive.

Dive safety is the highest priority, and the diving crew will give detailed dive briefings, check currents and temperatures before the dives and be in the water on every dive. Also, the crew monitors the vessel round the clock with a 24-hour watch schedule, and weekly safety drills assure that guests and crew are prepared in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Peter Hughes Sun Dancer 2: Dining

Enjoy a morning beverage delivered to your stateroom, and partake of delicious freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches served buffet style in the salon. Dinner is a fine dining experience with plated meals served to the table and a choice of entrees several nights per week.

In addition, after-dive snacks are provided each day.

The open bar includes locally available beer, wine and liquor.

Divers craving a secluded, relaxing, romantic dive destination rarely find better than Beqa Lagoon Resort, a spectacular getaway set just off of Viti Levu, Fiji.

Beqa Lagoon Resort: Accommodations

Beqa Lagoon Resort offers 25 deluxe, private air-conditioned Bures (mini-suites) spread out beneath the lush tropical landscape. Each of these generously sized mini-suites are beautifully appointed with traditional island décor.

12 stunning beachfront bures grace the shoreline, each with their own private courtyard, large sundeck and cool plunge pool. One of the beachfront bures is designated as our honeymoon bure featuring premium ocean view, upgraded contemporary interior and a romantic outdoor shower. 6 charming bures surround our koi pond and 3 very private bures are tucked away in the garden.

For families or groups we suggest one of the 4 comfortable and spacious two-bedroom bures. Each of these are about 1,000 square feet with 2 private bedrooms and a large living and dining room area. Enjoy soothing ocean views from your private patio or balcony.

Beqa Lagoon Resort: Other Activities

Beqa Lagoon is primarily a diver’s paradise, although other activities can be found both at the resort and nearby.

Join a volleyball game with locals, hike to the mystical waterfalls, or swim, snorkel, or kayak from the resort’s beach. Other activities can be arranged by resort staff at an additional cost, such as deep sea fishing, surfing, waterskiing, rafting, or tubing.

In addition, Beqa Lagoon Resort offers nightly entertainment at the bar, and a weekly traditional Fijian performance, meke, through which Fijians express themselves and narrate stories of their life.

Beqa Lagoon Resort: Dining

Meals are served in the casual elegance of the spacious open air Bure Kalou.
Chef Laniana “LaLa” prepares a wide variety of dishes that amaze even the most experienced gourmet. Enjoy fine dining with a magnificent range of taste sensations including fresh local fish, vegetables and fruit, New Zealand lamb, Australian beef and incredible desserts. There are plenty of choices to quench your thirst - imported wines, Fijian beer, fresh squeezed juice and refreshing spring water.

Lunch and dinner are ordered at the beginning of the day, so that meals can be prepared and served on time
